Sizing by lots, or letting the risk percentage do the arithmetic.

The ticket gives you two ways to decide how big the trade is. Both end up at the same place — they just start from a different question.

Lots

You type the size directly. Simple, and right when you already know what you trade.

Risk %

You say what percentage of your balance you are willing to lose if the stop is hit, and TradifyFX works out the size for you.

This is the better habit. Risking 1% means risking 1% whether your stop is five pips away or fifty — the size changes so the loss does not.

Risk % needs a stop loss. Without one there is no defined loss to size against, so the field cannot do its job.

What “risk” counts

The figure includes the spread you will pay, so it is what you would actually lose, not a tidy theoretical number.

You can set the default in Settings → Backtesting so every new ticket starts at the number you normally use.

Sizing badly is the point

Most losing backtests are not caused by bad entries. They are caused by a position four times bigger than the others taken after two losses in a row.

The Analytics page tracks your average position size and the Reports page will name oversized risk if it is costing you money — so size the way you actually would, and let it catch you.
