Yes — recorded prices from a regulated broker, never generated.
Yes. Every candle is real recorded market data from OANDA, a regulated broker. Nothing is generated, smoothed or reconstructed, and you get the same open, high, low, close and volume a trader saw on the day.
The data goes down to five-second candles and back to 2005 on the major currency pairs. In tick-by-tick mode the current candle is built from the one-minute candles inside it — very close to live, though not every individual tick.
What we will never do is show you a candle before it finished at your clock time. That single rule is what makes a replay honest. See Where the data comes from.
